Last year the world was flooded with a wave of nostalgia for the noughties. It was the 20th anniversary of the Bratz dolls, which were recognized as a style icon, and all the fashion bloggers and Influencers began to actively introduce “doll” clothes and shoes into their style. After the pandemic of slippers, clogs and flip-flops, such a change came just in time.

That’s why we saw a real boom of platform shoes, for example Versace made its own version of Medusa Aevitas platform shoes, which were instantly copied by mass market. Also very popular were sabots and sandals with platform and heel.

But at the same time, comfortable summer shoes aren’t going anywhere. We’re not ready to give up slippers, sandals and flat sandals (and why?). Even bothered during several seasons “naked sandals” remain with us, changing only the shape of the heel.

It was the experimentation with shape that became the basis for the creation of new models, which can be divided into 2 types: variations of “ugly” and massive models, and in contrast to them – elegant architectural forms with shaped heels.

For the new Loewe collection he created shoes with heels in the form of a rose, a bottle of nail polish and even an egg.

Cult Gaia’s round wooden heels, shaped like chain links and large beads, are a sumptuous variation on the sculptural heels.

As for the shoes without a heel, the leaders are still Greek sandals, slippers and mules on a flat sole. Excellent models have the brand Nine West. You should avoid only the wedge models: there has never been a case, when this shoe would decorate the image.

Sports sandals also remain with us – probably the most comfortable shoes for summer. Choosing from the “ugly” models, pay attention to the sandals “fisherman” (also called grandfather’s), as well as blown slippers or clogs on a solid sole.
